God

This website does not want to be put in the same category as radical left-wing politics, and therefore we will talk about God and religion in a positive way. Click here to see why religion is relevant in a discussion about political violence. But it must be acknowledged that no one can be scientifically certain that any higher power exists. And little evidence proves that one can count on the gods for help. History has shown that. Jesus did not stop Pol Pot, and Krishna did not prevent the Japanese democide in China. The gods seem to be indifferent bystanders, but lets hope they exist, so that they one day will be confronted by the victims and those who sacrificed their lives to save others from dying. Hopefully, they will feel a bit embarrassed about doing nothing when women and children were slaughtered in places like Rwanda.

One of the main points of mentioning God in this context is that it alienates hardcore left-wing rebels. Religion repels them like garlic, hopefully. These rebels are usually very dogmatic; they are occupied with ideology. Not all left-wing radicals are like that of course, many are nice and open-minded. But we are not interested in people who lets ideology cloud their judgment because rebels possessed by ideology often do more harm than good: GULag and Holocaust. Please don’t waste our time if your mind is not capable of seeing beyond ideology.

LAW is not bound to any ideology or religious view. We focus primarily on pragmatic ways to rescue individual persons who are dying because of poverty or oppression. Rescue work has little to do with ideology; it does not matter if the rescuers are on the left or right in politics. The important thing is to save people whatever their religion, political views, or skin colour.

We encourage critical thinking, and consequently we will write things that will keep you from identifying uncritically with the views and arguments presented here. Only weak minds indulge in dogmatism. Dogmatic rebels should not use this page as an excuse for engaging in political violence. You should listen to all the arguments for and against the use of defensive political violence, and you alone are responsible for whatever you think is right in this case. God be with you, if he exists...
