Murphy’s law

Militant activist must be aware of the rule that everything that can go wrong will go wrong. It is important to consider all possibilities of failure before launching a defensive militant operation. Assumptions are out of the question. Assumptions are the mother of all fuck ups. Don’t assume anything. Activists should know what they are doing and not take things for granted.

Capture operations are relatively easy in theory, but it takes nerve, a lot of patience and a stable mind to successfully accomplish a militant operation. Activists can suddenly be surprised by unexpected events. In such situations, it is crucial that they keep a cool head. They must be able to handle emergencies constructively.

Defensive political violence can in one way be more difficult than terrorism because killing innocents is not allowed. The ability to be calm and relaxed in emergency situations is a prerequisite for being able to use weapons effectively. Being calm is the most important factor.

In most cases, high-strung people should not get themselves involved in militant operations. They will only be a danger to themselves and others. Leave the job to persons who have the psyche to perform such activities.

One can learn how to handle emergencies. One of the best ways is to serve as a Red Cross volunteer for example. Join the military or get an education as a paramedic or a fire fighter. Get used to the feelings of nervousness, adrenaline, and anxiety, and learn how to act effectively in spite of them.

A calm mind is necessary to prevent accidents. An accidental killing of an innocent person will, in the eyes of the public, bring defensive political violence into disrepute, and that is just what many capitalists and other oppressive groups want.
