Islamic Terrorism The principles of defensive political violence are opposed to Islamic extremism. We are happy that the Taliban was removed from power. Islamic extremists treat women as property; some are even willing to put their own daughters on fire. That is worse than the Nazis in Auschwitz. The Nazis did not burn their own children to death. Al-Qaida wants to fight peacekeepers trying to prevent crimes against humanity in Darfur. They think it is a conspiracy against Moslems when the UN wants to stop the slaughter of innocent men, women and children. They have lost all credibility. Al-Qaida’s delusions can be compared to those of Stalin and Hitler. Iran wants to give nuclear technology to the almost genocidal regime in Sudan. That is reason enough to believe that we risk a nuclear war if Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons. The Allies bombed the heavy water production facilities in Rjukan, Norway, during WWII to prevent that the Nazis got the bomb. We unfortunately face the same situation today. An alternative to military intervention should be sought, but a regime that supports crimes against humanity should never be allowed to have atomic bombs. On the other hand, the Palestine people may be justified in fighting Israeli occupying forces, on the condition that they don't use terrorism. These forces are themselves like terrorists when they recklessly kill innocents with missiles shot from planes and helicopters. The principles of defensive political violence are incompatible with any group or state which tries to justify the sacrifice of innocent lives.
